TPI Assessment

If you want to get better at golf you have to invest in your body mobility and flexibility followed by learning the proper skills from a qualified golf instructor and getting fit with golf clubs that suits your swing. It really puzzles me to see thousands of golfers purchasing new equipment every season hoping that they found a solution for their flaws. Golf club manufacturers spend millions of dollars advertising new clubs promising more distance, more forgiveness and a cure for that nasty slice or hook.

The truth is that no matter how much improvement the manufacturers add to the next generation of golf club they cannot change the way you swing the club. If you cannot efficiently use your body to swing the club you won’t be able to take advantage of any improvement of the club or acquire the skills necessary to become a better golfer. You might have enough money to buy a Formula One car but you won't be able to drive as fast as the professional racers. It is not only the tool but the person behind the tool. You can give Tiger Woods broom sticks as golf clubs and he still would beat you on a course. Skills is what makes the difference not what is in your bag.

What is TPI?

TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

TPI is a PGA and LPGA approved, golf-specific training program that has developed a physical screen to identify physical limitations that may be contributing to swing flaws, injuries, and higher scores. Our Golf Fitness Program will evaluate upper/lower body flexibility, posture, core stability, balance, and golf specific mobility. Based on the results of the TPI screen, we can develop an individualized exercise program to address each client’s physical limitations that may be affecting the golf swing and/or risk for injury.

Benefits of a Golf Fitness Program:

Maximize lessons with golf pro by developing a swing pattern that works within your limitations
